Isuzu is all set to launch its flagship SUV MU-X on the Indian roads on May 11. It went on sale in Thailand earlier this year and will hit the Indian roads the coming month.
Introduced internationally in 2013, MU-X SUV was available in the international markets of Australia, New Zealand, Laos, Indonesia and Philippines. After the upgrade last year, the car now gets tweaked bumpers with a new roof-mounted spoiler and 18-inch alloy wheels for modern appeal. Now it also gets LED daytime running lights integrated alongside the projector units. It also gets a tougher look with the roof rails and wrap-around LED taillights. The high ground clearance should make it comfortable on rough tracks. Also Read: Volkswagen Tiguan to Be Launched in India This May
The seven-seater MU-X comes with leather wrapped seats, steering wheel, and door trims. The touchscreen infotainment system in the SUV usually comes paired with six speakers and satellite navigation. From the safety aspect, the car includes dual front airbags along with ABS and EBD supported by stability control and traction control system.
The car is powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine producing 174bhp and 380Nm and five-speed automatic gearbox.
The MU-X in India is expected to face a tough competition in the segment dominated by Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour. Also Read: New Creta Facelift to Feature Mild-Hybrid Technology
