New Delhi: Adding a brand-new product in its range of consumer goods, Xiaomi has unveiled a new self-balancing electric scooter.

The Ninebot mini is a product of Xiaomi’s latest collaboration with Ninebot and Segway. The self-balancing scooter boasts of an aerospace-grade magnesium alloy infrastructure, offers speeds up to 16 km/hr, and climbs 15-degree inclines easily.

The scooter is compact, weighs 12.8 kg and is steered by legs. It is powered by a high capacity battery back that is claimed to last up to 22km of a ride in a single charge.

Ninebot mini further comes with smartphone controls for speedometer, traffic data, fault detection, and other firmware upgrades.

The scooter is priced at RMB 1999 (approximately $315). Xiaomi is offering optional safety gear set at RMB 169.
