This unfortunate reality hit close to home for a Bengaluru resident seeking a satisfying meal at a local restaurant, only to find an unexpected addition – a cockroach! Sharing the unsettling experience on Reddit, the diner, identified as @Long-Creme-8925, posted images revealing a chicken piece harboring a seemingly lifeless cockroach amidst rice.
Detailing the lack of response from the restaurant to their complaint, the original poster (OP) sought assistance on the ‘Bangalore’ subreddit, stating, “Pls help me bring this place down …. I visited zamindar today (Kalyan nagar) There was a roach in the chicken piece, upon complaining the staff did nothing .. What should I do ??”

In response, fellow Redditors offered suggestions on addressing the issue. One user recommended, “You can complain and give negative reviews. That’s all you can do,” while another asserted, “Their food license won’t be affected. U can choose to not pay money for the food and go away.”
A third user shared a personal incident, recounting, “Nothing you can do. Once I found a big glass piece in samosa chat in a joint in Koramangala. I asked him, bro what the fuck? I could have died eating this? He’s like no worries Sir, we will give you a new one.” The fourth one quipped, “As bear Grylls would say – a healthy meal with diverse proteins”
Recently, a group of moviegoers at Piccadilly Square Mall in Chandigarh Sector 34 also discovered dead cockroaches in their sandwiches during interval and confronted the theatre employees, adding to the growing concern about such incidents.
