New Delhi: ICICI Bank International Banking Strategy has been providing services to NRI clients and was formally launched in 2001.
ICICI Bank NRI Services chief Girish Nayak says the bank has a global presence spanning 19 countries including India, through its combination of subsidiaries, branches and representative offices.
“ICICI Bank helps the NRIs maintain the all important link with their home country by offering a complete product suite that is available at the click of a mouse or a simple phone call away. The Bank is always innovating new products to stay a step ahead of the NRI needs and maintain its leadership position as the NRI Banker of choice,” says Nayak.
Some of the major economies where the Bank has a presence include the UK, Canada and Russia through wholly owned subsidiaries.
The Bank also has branches in New York, Dubai, Qatar, Bahrain, Singapore, Hong Kong and Sri Lanka.
The services being offered to the NRIs include savings and deposit products, structured investment options, online remittances, mortgages, insurance and equity linked products.
ICICI Bank – NRI Services also won the World Finance (London) Award for the best bank for NRI Services Worldwide, 2008 and has also been named best in class for its remittance business second year in a row by the Asian Banker Magazine.
