Renowned South director Mysskin, celebrated for his distinctive filmmaking approach, has embarked on a new period drama featuring Vijay Sethupathi. Adding to the anticipation, Mysskin has taken on the role of music composer for the film. This decision follows acclaim for his song “Kadavulukku Korikkai” in the upcoming film “Devil,” directed by GR Adithya. Currently in its final production stages, “Devil” has heightened expectations for Mysskin’s dual role as director and music composer in his upcoming Vijay Sethupathi starrer.
Mysskin and Vijay’s untitled period drama film also received attention reportedly because of Vijay’s new looks. The new look showed Vijay standing in a public appearance. Vijay was seen donning a pencil moustache and a big black-framed nerdy pair of glasses. Vijay’s hair appears shorter than before, and he even seems to have shed some weight. Vijay’s new look from the film went viral on social media in no time. The picture was shared exclusively by Galatta.com.

Mysskin and Vijay had teamed up for the former’s film Pisasu 2 as well. Vijay has played the 16-minute-cameo role of a doctor in this movie. Pisasu 2 also stars Shamna Kasim, Andrea Jeremiah, and others. Pisasu 2 is currently in the post-production stage.
Not only as a director and composer, Mysskin has also proven his acting mettle as well. He left an indelible mark on the audience’s hearts with the film Nandalala directed by him as well. He essayed the role of a mentally challenged person named Bhaskar Mani in this movie.
Mysskin is also known by many for his love of books and films. He talked about it in an interview with the Film Companion. He likes the films Thanga Padhakkam directed by P Madhavan and Thevar Magan directed by Bharathan. He also appreciated the film Seven Samurai directed by Akira Kurosawa, Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List, and Robert Bresson’s A Man Escaped. Mysskin said,” These films define who I am now, and all my so-called success is dedicated to them.”
