The Road is written and directed by debutant filmmaker Arun Vaseegaran.

Tamil actress Trisha Krishnan’s most recent film The Road hit theatres on October 6. This revenge drama, written and directed by debutant filmmaker Arun Vaseegaran, received mixed reviews at the box office. Now, as per reports, the OTT release of Trisha’s The Road has been confirmed. Reports suggest that the OTT platform Aha Tamil has acquired the digital rights to the film. However, the release date is yet to be announced.

Produced by AAA Cinema, the makers had previously unveiled the film’s trailer, which garnered immense appreciation from viewers. The Road is an action-packed drama. The trailer opens with a Friedrich Nietzsche quote, “In revenge and in love, a woman is more barbaric than a man is.”

The film revolves around a woman’s quest to uncover a series of mysterious deaths. Having lost someone dear to her, the woman is determined to discover why accidents frequently occur at a specific stretch of a national highway. Is it a ghost or something supernatural? It appears that the accidents, claiming the lives of innocent people, are the work of a drug cartel.

The music for the film is composed by Sam CS. KG Venkatesh served as the cinematographer, while Phoenix Prabhu handled the stunts. In addition to Trisha, the movie boasts a talented ensemble cast including Dancing Rose Shabeer, Santhosh Prathap, Miya George, MS Bhaskar, Vivek Prasanna, Vela Ramamoorthy and Laxmi Priya in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Trisha will soon be seen in the upcoming Tamil action thriller film Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Jointly produced by SS Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy, it is the third instalment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. The film stars Thalapathy

Vijay in the titular role alongside Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan and Mysskin in other pivotal roles. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa and editing by Philomin Raj. Leo is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 19 in standard and IMAX formats.

Apart from Leo, Trisha Krishnan also has Ram and Vidaa Muyarchi in her kitty.
