Bangladesh take on South Africa in their fourth match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 on Saturday. The Asian side began their tournament with a win over Scotland by 16 runs. A crucial bowling spell of 2/15 from Ritu Moni paved Bangladesh’s path to victory. The good start did not last long as they faced England next and lost by 21 runs to the former world champions before facing the West Indies.
The Women’s T20 World Cup fixture between Bangladesh and South Africa will take place at the Dubai International Stadium on Saturday, October 12.
South Africa also made a winning start to their tournament, winning against the West Indies by 10 wickets. They were beaten by England in the following game by seven wickets.
In the third fixture, South Africa bounced back to winning ways, beating Scotland by 80 runs. Laura Wolvaardt, Tazmin Brits and Marizanne Kapp all scored 40-plus runs each to help the side reach 166 while batting first.
A three-wicket spell from Nonkululeko Mlaba curbed Scotland to 86. South Africa will now be looking to continue their winning run as they hope to make the semi-finals of the tournament.
