England will face the West Indies in a three-match Test series. The home series for England will start on Wednesday (July 10) at the Lord’s. After suffering a humiliating defeat by a margin of 1-4 against India in the five-match series played at the start of 2024, England would like to make a comeback in front of home fans and keep alive its hopes of reaching the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 final.
The first Test at the Home of Cricket will be a special one for English fans, as it is going to be the last international match for legendary pacer James Anderson. The 41-year-old Anderson has 700 wickets to his name in 187 Tests played so far, and he would like to finish his career with a win.
The upcoming series between England and the West Indies is expected to see a close contest between the two teams, as the visitors are also on a high after securing a famous win over Australia at the Gabba in the last Test played in January 2024.
