A look at the MI stars and their furry little friends.

While India’s love for cricket is boundless, so is its love for the players. Cricket fans are always trying to learn more about their favourite stars.  On the occasion of International Dog Day, here’s a look at some famous IPL players of the celebrated Mumbai Indians franchise and their bond with pet dogs.

From Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rohit Sharma to MI’s WPL players Harmanpreet Kaur and Natalie Sciver-Brunt, love for them is truly a “four-legged word.”

Rohit Sharma: A devoted pet parent, Rohit shares a very strong feeling for dogs. He also had a beloved pet beagle named Magic. In January 2023, Rohit’s pet dog passed away, as confirmed by his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, on Instagram. He even dedicated his half-century against Sri Lanka to his dog.

Suryakumar Yadav: Another fan favourite. SKY shares his heart and his home with two French Bulldogs named Pablo and Oreo. He often shares videos and pictures with them, describing them as his friends, sons, brothers, and companions.

Hardik Pandya: An avid dog lover, Pandya is the proud owner of three pet dogs. He previously had Aston and Bentley, while he recently added the newest and youngest ‘Cooper’ to the Pandya family.

Harmanpreet Kaur: MI’s WPL captain Harmanpreet is a major dog lover. When not on the field, she loves to spend time with her pets, pictures of which are present on her social media handle.

Other Mumbai Indians players across both the men’s and women’s teams are also die-hard dog lovers.
