A picture of India head coach Rahul Dravid following the USA-Pakistan T20 World Cup clash has gone viral on social media.

Indian cricket team head coach Rahul Dravid couldn’t escape the thrill of Thursday’s T20 World Cup clash between USA and Pakistan that was decided by Super Over.

Playing at the Grand Prairie Stadium on Thursday, the USA recorded one of the biggest upsets in T20 World Cup history.

The Monank Patel-led side beat Pakistan in a super-over affair to continue their undefeated run in the competition.

Dravid was spotted following the game on his mobile while travelling in a subway and a picture of it has now gone viral on social media.

Users are reacting to the post with one surprised at the coach being left undisturbed by the public. “New York subway is the one place Rahul Dravid won’t get mobbed by fans. He can’t ride on Indian metros,” the user posted.

Another highlighted that the Indian coach had used the “best way to get around NYC too!”

“No one wants to miss this historic event. Pakistan always give performances like this,” wrote one fan.

Another suggested that the coach was rather “shocked how they [Pakistan] lost to USA.”

“What a simple and dedicated coach for India”, wrote a user.

USA opted to bowl first in Dallas in what was their first ever meeting with Pakistan in international cricket.

Nosthush Kenjige and Saurabh Netravalkar combined for five wickets to curb Pakistan at 159/7.

USA skipper Monank spearheaded the chase by scoring a half-century before the match ended in a tie. In the Super Over, USA defended 18 runs to create history.

Meanwhile, the Dravid-coached India started their World Cup campaign on a winning note, beating Ireland earlier this week.

India will next take on arch-rivals Pakistan at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday.
