It was a scintillating win for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru as they beat Gujarat Titans by nine wickets. Will Jacks finally showed what he’s about in the Indian Premier League as he smashed a 41-ball century to help RCB chase down 201 with four overs to spare at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
Despite the RCB skipper, Faf du Plessis being dismissed within the powerplay, Kohli managed to showcase his prowess in chasing down totals as he led the charge by scoring some crucial runs within the first six overs.
Jacks started his innings steadily but once he breached the 30-run mark, he was able to pick up the pace. Kohli brought up his half-century in just 32 balls while Jacks amped up his scoring rate. The middle-order batter went after both pace and spin with the same ferocity as RCB’s run-rate started to pick up and the pressure was off Kohli to score the big runs.
Notably, the English international went on a rampage against the experienced Mohit Sharma as he struck a total of 29 runs in the fifteenth over of the innings, which included three sixes and two boundaries to take the game away from the Titans.
He was able to replicate this feat against one of the most feared bowlers in T20 cricket, Rashid Khan where Jacks struck 29 runs once again to complete the chase and score a well-deserved century.

Most Number of Balls Remaining in 200+ Chase in IPL History
