The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is currently inviting applications from eligible candidates for an Apprenticeship Training Program of one year in RHQ, Kolkata, and several airports in the Eastern Region for the year 2023-24. Candidates who are domiciled in West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Andaman & Nicobar, and Sikkim can apply. Candidates are requested to apply via BOAT/RDAT’s web portal at nats.education.gov.in (for graduate/diploma apprentices) and apprenticeshipindia.org (for ITI Trade). As per the official notice, the last date to apply for the Apprenticeship Training Program is January 31, 2024.
Before applying for apprenticeship training in AAI, candidates must first register with the relevant portal (NATS/NAPS/RDAT). Only applications submitted online through the NATS/NAPS portal will be considered. In addition, correspondence/communication in any other form will be rejected. It is important to note that candidates who apply for multiple disciplines will be rejected. Also, there is no application fee charged. Through this recruitment drive, AAI plans to fill up a total of 130 vacancies in the organisation.
AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2024: Vacancy Details
– Graduate (BE/BTech in Aeronautical, Automobile, Architecture, Civil, Computer Science, Data Analysis, Electrical, Electronics, IT, Mechanical): 30 vacancies.
– Diploma (Aeronautics, Automobile, Architecture, Civil, Computer Science, Data Analysis, Electrical, Electronics, IT, Mechanical, Mathematics/Statistics): 45 vacancies.
– ITI Trade (Computer Operator Programming Assistant, Electrical, Mechanic, Electronics, Steno): 55 vacancies.
Apprentices must complete apprenticeship training at notified airports/establishments. Training will take place at the designated airport, station, or unit, with no changes allowed. Candidates who have completed or terminated their apprenticeship, or are pursuing a similar qualification in another organisation or AAI, are not eligible for this training programme.
AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age requirement is 26 years, as of December 31, 2023. The only eligible candidates are those who reside in the Eastern Region of India. Candidates who completed their degree or diploma in 2019 or after 2019 are eligible.
AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2024: Selection Method
Candidates will be provisionally selected based on their qualifying exam marks percentage (%). The applicant’s candidature would only be provisional. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews and document verification via their registered email addresses only.
The final selection process will involve an interview, certificate verification, and submission of a medical fitness certificate upon joining. Candidates will be assigned to specific locations in the Eastern Region based on their portal registration.
