Actress Kangana Ranaut has now ventured into politics. Do you know what her educational background is? If not, let us tell you. Kangana Ranaut born on March 23, 1986, Himachal Pradesh. She is the daughter of Amardeep Ranaut, a businessman and Asha Ranaut, a school teacher. The actress has an elder sister and a younger brother. She studied at the DAV School in Chandigarh, and after completing her schooling, she went to study at a college in Shimla, where she chose science as her core subject. Her family insisted her to become a doctor and hence she prepared for the All-India Pre-Medical Test. Kangana Ranaut failed in her chemistry exam in college, and then decided to move to Delhi for a year by reconsidering her career. Though her father did not support her idea, she remained firm on her decision, which reportedly strained her relationship with her father.
After shifting to Delhi, Kangana pursued her modelling career after the Elite Modelling Agency spotted her, but soon she got bored of it since it had no scope for creative freedom. Afterwards, she joined the Asmita Theatre Group, where she got the opportunity to train under well-renowned theatre director Arvind Gaur. She gained a clear viewpoint on her life and realised that she wanted to become a Bollywood actress. Later, she moved to Mumbai again against her family’s will. Kangana Ranaut was first seen on the silver screen in Anurag Basu’s 2006 movie Gangster along with Emraan Hashmi and Shiney Ahuja. She reconciled with her family in 2007.
Kangana Ranaut is also a member of parliament presently; in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, she was successful in defeating her congress rival Vikramaditya Singh, scion of Rampur state and the obligatory state public works minister, by a margin of 74755 votes from the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency. In a recent interview, she revealed that as she assumes her role as a Member of Parliament, Kangana Ranaut feels that her acting life has been much easier than her role as a politician lately. She was offered the role of a politician earlier as well, but she remained firm to her acting career.
Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film is Emergency, where she plays the role of the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. It will be released in the theatres soon.
