Has NTA Announced the Revised NEET UG 2024 Results? Here's the Truth
The Supreme Court also dismissed many petitions seeking to cancel and retest the NEET UG 2024 exam

In the wake of claims that the National Testing Agency (NTA) had issued revised results for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Undergraduate 2024 (NEET 2024) on July 25, the Ministry of Education clarified that the results had not yet been released. According to the Ministry, the link is found on the official website is that of old results published. “The revised results for NEET UG (2024) have not been declared yet. Kindly wait for the official information,” the ministry informed.

Students were unable to view their results due to issues with accessing the link. According to the ministry, the link provided on the official NEET website titled ‘Click Here for NEET 2022 Revised Scorecard!’ is outdated.

“The website showing the revised card link it’s an old link for 1563 students when their revised card had come,” explained a ministry spokesperson.

Students may obtain updated NEET UG 2024 results by visiting exams.nta.ac.in, the official NEET website once they have finally been released. The results are expected to be released by tonight, however, there is no official confirmation on the same. The controversial appeals for the cancellation and retesting of the medical exam were rejected by the Supreme Court, which led to the revision of the physics questions.

Following the Supreme Court’s Tuesday ruling to reclaim compensating marks awarded to a certain set of students for a Physics question, the results and the list of top scorers have been modified.

Previously, the NTA decided to give a few students compensatory marks since the inaccurate answer they marked was based on an improper reference in the outdated Class 12 NCERT science textbook.

The Supreme Court directed the director of IIT Delhi to form a committee of three experts and provide a report on the correct answer to a particular Physics question. Based on IIT Delhi’s findings, the court later declared that for the Physics question on atomic theory, marks would be granted for just one answer which was option 4.

The NEET UG scorecard issued today along with the final result will be the third set of results for this year’s medical entrance exam. The first one was released on June 4, along with the initial result with grace marks. After administering the re-test to 1,563 applicants, the NTA had to amend all candidates’ scorecards. Today’s final result cum scorecard would be the third, displaying each candidate’s all-India rankings and scores for the year.

Due to the lack of evidence on record to determine that there was a systemic breach of the exam’s sanctity, the Supreme Court stated that ordering a fresh test would have major ramifications for nearly 24 lakh students who took the exam. The CJI stated that it would disrupt the admission schedule, resulting in cascade impacts on the medical course.
