The Centre for Distance and Virtual Learning (CDVL), University of Hyderabad, has extended the deadline for distance education programmes. The registration for the various one-year diploma programmes offered through blended mode has been extended till March 31, as per careers360 report. The diploma programmes are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and Distance Education Council (DEC) joint committee.
The students who are already pursuing their full-time courses can also join these programmes simultaneously, the report suggests. The varsity will provide prepared study material soft copy to all the enrolled students. The university will also conduct video lectures for students through an online facility. As per the reports, the previous alumni includes officers of central and state government, corporate sector executives, MNC executives, doctors, working women, housewives and other fresh graduates.
These courses include one-year duration programmes. It is offered for the benefit of graduates as add on programme at postgraduate courses in business management, project management, cyber laws, forensic science, library automation networking, communicative english, infection prevention control, community eye health and other skill up-gradation programmes jointly with NIRD; ICAR-NAARM; BSNL-RTTC, Truth Labs, ICFAI, LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) and TeamLease Edtech.
Students can apply for the admission on the official website at cdvl.uohyd.ac.in. The students will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 300. Completed applications along with the online registration fee receipt may be sent to the section officer, Centre for Distance and Virtual Learning (CDVL), University of Hyderabad, Golden threshold Building, Abids, Nampally Station Road, Hyderabad 500001.

The CDVL is one of the oldest centres of the University of Hyderabad. The centre was officially established in the year 1994, based upon the directions received from the UGC and Ministry of Education (MoE). The centre initially started two diploma programmes. Presently it is offering fourteen one-year Diploma Programmes. These programmes are offered through online mode, correspondence cum contact programme.
