It is noteworthy that applications for the session 1 examination were invited from November 1 to November 30. The examination is to be conducted between January 24 and February 1.

According to the JEE Main 2024 notification, the exam city slip for the exam will be released in the second week of January. The admit cards of the students will be issued three days before their exam date. After the release of the admit card, candidates will be able to download it by visiting the official websites — nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.ac.in. Students have to use their login credentials to download the admit card.

The result of the first session will be released in February. The examination is being conducted in a total of 13 languages. The examination will be conducted in computer-based mode in two shifts. In which the first shift will run from 9 am to 12 noon. The second shift will be organized from 3 pm to 6 pm. For other information related to the examination, visit the website of NTA.

The JEE Main carries a total of 300 marks. The paper comprises 90 questions with 30 questions each from three sections — Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each section comprises 20 multiple-choice questions, while the remaining 10 questions are numerical-based. The exam is held for three hours.

In the JEE Main exam, each question has four answer options, with one correct. One correct answer gets four marks, but an incorrect question deducts one mark. This deduction equals one-fourth of the marks for a correct answer. No marks are deducted for leaving a question unanswered. For instance, if you correctly answer six questions and incorrectly answer two, your score would be calculated as 6 (4) – 2 (1) = 18.

What's your reaction?
