The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) started conducting the Class 10 Board exams on Monday, February 5. The exams are being held in the morning shift between 9 am to 12 noon. This year, the board has imposed strict rules against the paper leak and other fraudulent activities during the exam. A penalty fine of up to Rs 10 lakh will be imposed on those who leak papers during board exams. Along with the penalty, the accused will also be sentenced to 10 years imprisonment.
The high school board exams are scheduled to conclude on February 28. Collector’s representatives will be deployed at the examination centres for continuous monitoring. Apart from them, Cyber Cell will also be monitoring the exam through CCTV cameras and other technologies. This time QR code has also been placed on the admission card for an efficient administrative process. The use of mobile phones by the teachers and officers during the invigilation of the exam is strictly prohibited. A special committee has also been formed by the board to organise a cheating-free exam.
Students were given entry into the examination centre only half an hour before today. The exams are being conducted in 7,500 centres across the state. Around 10 lakh students are expected to appear in the Class 10 Board exam whereas 7 lakh students have registered for the Class 12 exam. A total of 92 exam centres have been set up for examinations in Gwalior. Of these, 50,808 candidates are appearing for the board exams in Gwalior. A total of 28,249 candidates were included in Class 10, whereas 22,559 candidates are set to appear for Class 12 exams.
Similarly, in Harda, 10th-12th examinations will be held at 34 centres. As per the reports, 7,405 students will appear for Class 10 exams whereas 9,072 students will appear for intermediate board exams in the town. In Shajapur district, 13,697 students are set to appear for the high school board exam. The administration has made strict security arrangements to prevent copying. The Flying squad will check the examination centres. All the examination centres are being monitored through webcasting. The Collector has given strict instructions that mobile phones will be completely banned inside any exam centre. If anyone except the collector representative is found with a mobile phone inside the exam centre, an FIR will be registered against him under section 188.
