The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) is understood to have cancelled the exams of 24 applicants who applied for the board exams this year. Their exams had to be cancelled as the candidates were reportedly found to be involved in unethical practices. The candidates who were detained for taking copies of materials to the exam centre and sending dummy candidates to appear for the exam had to face harsh consequences. The board recently issued a press release, highlighting the specific reasons behind the cancellation of the candidates’ exam.

According to the press release, of the applicants who were enrolled, 10 were registered for the Class 10 Board Examination 2024 and 14 were registered for the Higher Secondary Examination.

The examination of five candidates from Class 12 test was cancelled. The examinations of four other Class 12 candidates also had to be cancelled. Additionally, these candidates were forbidden from appearing for the 2025 board exam. The examination for an additional five Class 12 students was cancelled and they were prohibited from taking the board exam until 2026.

Similarly, the exams of 10 candidates who appeared for the Class 10 exam this year were also cancelled and the individual candidates were prohibited from appearing for the board exam until 2026.

This year, the Rajasthan Board’s Class 10 exams were held from March 7 to 30. Exams of Class 12 were held from February 29 to April 4, 2024.

Results for the Arts, Science, and Commerce streams of the RBSE Class 12 were released earlier this year on May 20, while results for the RBSE Class 10 were released on May 29. The aggregate pass percentages for the Arts, Science, and Commerce streams were 96.88, 97.73 and 98.95 respectively. In Class 10, the overall pass percentage was 93.03.

This time, the Rajasthan Board has scheduled the RBSE 12 exams for August 12 to 14. The only students granted a second opportunity to appear for supplementary tests are those who failed one or both courses in the main RBSE 12th annual board exam. In August or September 2024, the RBSE 12th Supplementary Exam Results will be made public. Candidates can visit the official RBSE website for any further information.
