The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Civil Service Examination (CSE) 2024 prelims admit cards. Candidates who have registered for the exam can check and download the admit cards from the official website at upsconline.nic.in or upsc.gov.in. Candidates will need their application number to access their hall tickets online.
The CSE will be conducted in three stages. The first stage, CSE Prelims, is expected to take place on June 16. Earlier, the UPSC CSE prelims were supposed to take place on May 26 but later got postponed due to the General Elections 2024. As many as 1056 posts will be filled across various central government services and departments including IAS, IPS, IFS, and IRS. For candidates in the disabled category, 40 vacancies have been reserved.
UPSC Admit Card 2024: Steps to Download
Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC, that is, upsc.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, find and click on the link “UPSC Admit Card 2024.”
Step 3: A new page will be opened asking you to enter the details.
Step 4: After filing all the details carefully, click on submit.
Step 5: The UPSC admit card will be displayed on the screen.
Step 6: Download and don’t forget to take a printout for future reference.
This year, the UPSC prelims exam will be held across 80 centers. Details such as the candidate’s name, photograph, address of the UPSC exam center, and roll number will be mentioned on the admit card. The UPSC Mains Exam is scheduled to take place on September 20.
UPSC CSE Prelims 2024: Exam Pattern
The CSE Prelims exam will include two question papers consisting of objective-type questions for 400 marks. It will be conducted in two sessions. The first session, expected to take place from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, will cover General Studies (GS) which includes topics on Geography, History, Indian Economy, Indian Polity, Science and Technology, International Relations, and Environment and Ecology. The second session will be a Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) which will take place from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. It will consist of reasoning and analytical questions, decision-making questions, and reading comprehension questions.
