New Delhi: After the sale of Kaka to Real Madrid, AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has reassured the fans repeatedly that no other big name players are leaving the club.
Nevertheless, rumours still persist that midfield star Andrea Pirlo is set to join his former coach Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea.
Galliani on Friday again made some reassuring statements about the club's situation after a meeting held between the management and various sponsors at Villa Simius.
"Last year we earned more money than the year before despite not taking part in the Champions League," he said to Repubblica.it.
"Our sponsors know there is a difference between us and other Italian clubs. From 2000 until today, aside from brief periods, we have always been competitive, and we are the only ones who have won outside Italy.
"It will be the same next season; we will be competitive on all fronts."
Last season the Rossoneri finished third, which will allow them direct entry into the Champions League group stages.
