Milan: AC Milan has announced the signing of Spanish forward Bojan Krkic on loan from Roma, as the 18-time Serie A champion scrambles to bolster their squad following a poor start to the season.
Milan lost 1-0 at home to promoted Sampdoria in their season opener on Sunday and the Rossoneri players were whistled off the pitch. Supporters also voiced angst over the club's offseason transfer campaign, which included mass departures that included Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Antonio Cassano and Thiago Silva — with few players added in return.
The 22-year-old Bojan scored seven goals with Roma last season, having begun his career with Barcelona. He could start at Bologna on Saturday with Milan's Brazilian forwards Alexandre Pato and Robinho injured.
On Tuesday, Milan signed 17-year-old French forward M'Baye Niang from Caen.
