New Delhi: Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Delhi Dynamos on Tuesday announced its partnership with BRICS - a grouping of five major emerging national economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa - to launch its football academy in India.
The academy will focus on preparing footballers by training young talent above the age of five years and ensuring their exposure to international coaches and players. It will provide full support to young footballers, also providing them education and world-class facilities.
Delhi Dynamos will be representing India in the BRICS Under-17 Football Cup 2016.
India will be hosting the tournament.
Dynamos will also participate effectively in all the grassroots level programmes and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
“We at Delhi Dynamos FC have always worked towards the development of the game at grassroots level and we hope to see more and more children taking up the sport professionally, and benefiting from the football academies,” Prashant Agarwal, Delhi Dynamos FC president, said in a release.
Delhi Dynamos had earlier also announced its plans to construct a residential football academy at Lucknow as part of its CSR and grassroots level activities in North India.
