ISL: NorthEast United must finish in top four, says midfielder Do Dong-hyun
"We can finish in the top four and I think that would be a remarkable achievement. We want to be in contention for the trophy after the round games are over," Dong-hyun said.

NorthEast United FC (NEUFC) midfielder, Do Dong-hyun feels that top four finish is a must for the team to feel good about its debut in the Indian Super League. NEUFC will take on table-toppers Chennaiyin FC on Wednesday and Do thinks that it's a very important tie and they need to be at the top of their game.

Ricki Herbert's side is currently last on the ISL points table but just two points more will push them into the all important fourth spot and keeping the inconsistency of all the eight teams in mind in the inaugural season, anything is possible.

"We think we can finish in the top four and I think that would be a remarkable achievement. We want to be in contention for the trophy after the round games are over and we have an important game against Chennaiyin on Sunday, so we need to focus on that first," Dong-hyun told IBNLive Sports.

The young Korean attacker played for Australian A-League club Brisbane Roar for one season, before moving to Japanese side FC Gifu. His dribbling abilities on the wing make him a dangerous goal-creating threat. Dong-hyun has been important part of the team and the midfielder was happy to be picked consistently in the team and heaped parsie on the coach Herbert.

"Herbert keeps close eye on all the players and always keeps them together. He is an amazing coach. One can talk with him about everything and that is very important for a team. He has a clear vision.

"You can tell that the coach is full of energy and has a clear idea of how he wants to play defensively and offensively. We are hungry again and want to win games. He talks a lot with the players and explains what he expects from each player in his position. For a player, it is important that the coach has a lot of contact with them," he added.

NorthEast United lost their last match against Delhi Dynamos on Monday and with just four games more to played, the team needs to get its act together and give its best in the remaining matches.
