Gyor, Hungary: Germany midfielder Mario Goetze celebrated his Bayern Munich debut with two goals in a 4-1 friendly win at Hungarian champions Gyor on Sunday.

"The result could have been better for Bayern," Goetze told the club website. "Sure, it was only a friendly but it was quite special for me."

The 21-year-old Goetze scored three minutes after coming on as a substitute for the final half hour, and he claimed his second in the final minute. Xherdan Shaqiri scored the other goals.

Goetze, a 37-million-euro off-season transfer from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund, hadn't played since April 30, when a hamstring injury forced him out of the Champions League semi-final at Real Madrid.

"It was a long recuperation period for me. Of course, I was very unlucky," Goetze told broadcaster ZDF on Sunday.

He said he decided to move to Bayern for "many little things that were important for me".

Bayern coach Pep Guardiola used Sunday's game to give his reserves a run-out, with Thomas Mueller the only starter from Friday's Bundesliga win over Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Daniel van Buyten was captain, alongside Javi Martinez in defense, with Jan Kirchhoff, Thiago Alcantara and reserve team player Christian Derflinger in midfield. Tobias Schweinsteiger, the brother of Bastian Schweinsteiger, sat on the bench.
