Manchester: New Manchester United manager David Moyes has brought three coaches with him from former club Everton to join his backroom staff at the English champions.

Steve Round will replace Mike Phelan as assistant coach at United, having worked with Moyes at Everton since July 2008. Moyes has also drafted in former England international Chris Woods as goalkeeping coach and Jimmy Lumsden as another coach.

Moyes says "I have worked with Steve, Chris and Jimmy for a number of years and I am delighted they have decided to join me at this great club. The Scottish manager added he has "great faith that, together, we can build upon the success this club has enjoyed over many years."

Monday was Moyes' first official day as United manager, having been hired as Alex Ferguson's successor nearly two months ago.
