After being heavily linked with a possible switch to former club Manchester United, Real Madrid have declared they're convinced about Cristiano Ronaldo signing a new deal with Los Blancos.
According to The Sun, club president Florentino Perez believes the 28-year-old will extend his stay with the Spanish giants. "I have no doubt that Cristiano is going to retire at Real Madird. I am convinced that he will renew", said Perez.
Perez also added that the Portuguese striker is their most important priority and Real's future is to be built around him.
Speculations of Ronaldo leaving the club caught fire when he had earlier declared his definite intentions to end tenure at the Bernabeu. He recently wrote on Twitter and Facebook, "All the news about my renewal with Real Madrid is false."
Perez envisions Ronaldo as a part of the side that will now play under a new coach Carlo Ancelotti. Perez also said earlier this month, "He has two years left on his contract. Anyone would think he was leaving tomorrow. What we would like is for him to stay even longer. The future of our project revolves around him."
