How to Prevent Facebook Friends from Being Notified when You Accept a Friend Request on iPhone or iPad
This wikiHow teaches you how to hide your new Facebook friendships when you’re using an iPhone or iPad.
Stop Facebook from Notifying of Accepted Friend Requests

Open Facebook on your iPhone or iPad. Look for the blue icon with a white “f.” You’ll typically find it on your home screen, but it may be inside of a folder. If you’re not already signed in, enter your login information to do so now. This method will help you hide your friends list from everyone except yourself. This is the only way to keep your new Facebook friendships a secret.

Tap ☰. It’s at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Scroll down and tap Settings. It’s the first option under the “Settings” header at the bottom of the menu.

Tap Account Settings.

Tap Privacy. It’s the third option from the top of the menu.

Tap Who can see your friends list?.

Tap Only me. A blue and white check mark will appear in this option’s corresponding bubble. Now that you’ve hidden your friends list from everyone except yourself, nobody will know when you add a new friend.

What's your reaction?
