Baahubali Actor Rakesh Varre Plays Jithender Reddy In Politician's Biopic; Poster Out

Best known for his roles in films like Baahubali and Evvarikee Cheppoddu, actor Rakesh Varre is now gearing up to play the role of a political leader in his upcoming film titled Jithender Reddy. The character poster of the film was recently unveiled showing the actor in an intense look as he walks with a gun in his hand.

Directed by director Virinchi Varma, the film’s first look was launched last month, leaving fans anticipating it. The film also marks the director’s re-entry into direction after a long gap. Take a look:

The actor also shared the poster on his X handle and wrote, “I’m coming after a while. This time it will be a powerful action-packed ride. Get ready guys.”

Notably, the character poster came days after the makers had teased the audience with a few other posters, piquing their interest in the film. Also, the name of the lead actor was kept under wraps. The enigmatic tagline “His (History) Needs To Be Told” also created a lot of buzz.

One of the most intriguing posters shows the lead actor sitting in front of a crowd, with his back toward the camera. After a lot of curiosity and suspense, the makers later finally revealed the actor’s identity. It has been confirmed that the Baahubali actor will be taking on the role of a leader set in the intense political scenario of Telangana.

Said to be based on the life of Jithender Reddy, the first-generation BJP leader from Telangana, the film is expected to showcase his biopic, focusing on his contribution as a leader in the political sphere. However, it is yet to be known about the focus of the film’s story. The director who is known for creating waves with his previous projects is expected to bring yet another exciting experience for viewers.

Made under the banner of Muduganti Creation, the film has been produced by Ravinder Reddy. While Gnanashekar VS is the cinematographer, Gopi Sundar is behind the music score.
