Telangana CM Chandrashekar Rao Performs Special Puja for Development of Telugu States Ahead of Polls
Telangana Assembly Elections: As many as 251 Vedic scholars from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka participated in the yagam and performed Astra Rajaarchana and Karkariya Sthapana

Telangana Chief Minister and BRS President K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday took part in the five-day Rajashyamala Maha Yagam which was launched at his farmhouse in Erravalli of Marmuk mandal in Siddipet district. He was joined by his wife Shobha during the event.

With an aim to seek and promote the all-round development of the two Telugu states, the Yagam was launched under the guidance of Visakha Sri Sarada Peetham pontiff Swaroopanandedra Swamy and Swatmanandendra Swamy ahead of the Telangana polls.

KCR and his wife first performed a puja of cows followed by Ganapathi Puja, Punyahavachanam and Panchagavya Prasana. Special pujas were also performed by Swaroopanandedra Swamy for Goddess Rajashyamala. The goddess was decorated in the incarnation of goddess Vana Durga.

As many as 251 Vedic scholars from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka participated in the yagam and performed Astra Rajaarchana and Karkariya Sthapana seeking blessings from three-crore-gods and goddesses to conduct the yagam without any obstacle.

KCR and his wife personally handed over the sacred robes to the Vedic scholars as well as Vedic pundits. Agni was installed in the Yagashala after performing Agnimathanam and Akhanda Sthapana.

Swaroopanandedra Swamy said that the chief minister has been performing the yagam seeking the all-round development of the two Telugu states.

Guru, Devatha Prardhana, Maha Sankalpam, Ganpathi Puja, Swasthi Punyahavachanam, Acharyaadi Ruthvigvarnam, Yagasala sanskaram, Gow Puja and Sahasra Modaka Ganapathi Homam were also performed as part of Satha Chandi Yagam.

Later CM KCR distributed theertham and prasadam.

Rajya Sabha member Joginapalli Santhosh, MP Nama Nageswar Rao, MLC Madhusudhanachari, former minister Venugopalachari and Anurag Sharma, adviser to the state government also attended the puja.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been performing Yagams such as Chandi Yagam and Maha Sudarsana Yagam from the day he took oath as the CM of the state, seeking overall development of the people of Telangana.

He also performed the Rajashyamala Maha Yagam before the last Assembly elections.

According to the sources, KCR has been performing the Yagam to achieve a hat-trick by winning the upcoming Assembly elections.
