New Delhi: A speeding car knocked down and injured at least eleven people in Mumbai's Dadar area on Monday. The incident took place at Senepati Bapat Marg near the flower market.
A doctor from the hospital reports that out of 11 patients who were brought to the hospital, one was brought dead. Out of 11 there are two females and nine males. Two of them have apparently suffered from head injuries.
One person was killed and ten others were injured after they were knocked down by the speeding car.
The woman, who was driving the car, has been detained and the car was seized. The accident took place in a crowded area. Police say the car could have spun out of control.
The woman, who is now in police custody, was driving from Town and going towards her residence in Juhu.
Senior police inspector Madhukar Sankhe said, “No serious injuries has been reported so far. Injured are admitted to KEM hospital. The driver was 60-year-old lady and her name is Inderjeet Dharmisingh kaur.”
