Three more suspected cholera cases have been reported from Puthiyathura area of the district. In a deviation from all suspected cases reported till now, all three are adults and male.
The patients, aged 21, 30 and 51, have all been admitted to Pulluvila Primary Health Centre, after showing signs of diarrhoea. “They have been given adequate treatment,” officials said. As of now, three members of one family and two children in their neighbourhood had shown symptoms of cholera. DMO Dr Peethambaran said that of these, only one case has been confirmed to be cholera.
