In a bid to assess the damages caused by drought four Congress teams will be visiting various affected districts in the state.
The teams that will begin their journey from the on September 3.
After the tour by September 10, the teams will prepare a comprehensive report which will be forwarded to the party high command and Central government demanding more compensation.
The first team comprising KPCC president Dr G Parameshwara, vice presidents V Muniyappa and Rani Satish, general secretary Basavaraja Rayareddy, MLA U T Khadar, MLCs R V Venkatesh and Jalaja Naik will tour Tumkur, Chitradurga, Davangere, Ramanagar, Kolar, Chikkaballapur and Bangalore rural district from September 3 to 10.
The second team headed by Leader of Opposition in state Assembly Siddaramaiah will visit Mandya, Chamarajanagara, Mysore, Hassan, Chikmagalur and Shimoga districts.
Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council S R Patil and his team will visit Bidar, Gulbarga, Yadagir, Raichur, Koppal and Bellary districts.
Former KPCC working president D K Shivakumar’s team will visit Belgaum, Bijapur, Bagalkot, Gadag, Dharwad and Haveri districts.
Addressing the media persons at the district Congress office on Sunday, president M A Sethuram said that Parameshwar’s team will tour the district on Tuesday.
The team will be visiting Gonur, Sasalahatti of Chitradurga assembly segment, Belaghatta, Haykal, Pelarahatti, Ramajogihalli, Nannivala, Veeradhimmanahalli, Budnahatti, Chikkamanahalli, Talaku, Hirehalli, BG Kere, Challakere, Yaraballi, Vaddikere, Talavatti and Aymangala.
