45 coal miners trapped in ECL's Pandaveswar colliery in West Bengal, rescue efforts start
Even though food and water are being sent to the trapped miners, one miner has reportedly fallen sick.

Pandaveswar: At least 45 workers of a colliery in Pandaveswar of Eastern Coalfield Limited are stuck inside the coal mines for last 12 hours because of the technical problem in the broiler. The coal mines are located in Burdwan in West Bengal.

Senior ECL official say all miners will be brought out soon. Rescue operations have started on the site and workers will be rescued one by one, added an official.

According to officials the trolley of the mine is not working because of the broiler problem.

Even though food and water are being sent to the trapped miners, one miner has reportedly fallen sick. Other workers of the mine allege ECL management of negligence.

ECL operates two coal mines Khottadih and Dalurband in Pandaveswar.
