KADAPA: The anti-corruption bureau (ACB) court in Nellore, on Saturday, directed the ACB DSP to book cases against Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Kadapa, following a petition by Ramachandraiah, an orthopaedician in it.Ramachandraiah, was arrested on Aug 31, 2010 for taking `500 for issuing disability certificate. In RIMS, it is a practice to collect `500 for issuing disability certificate. It has no approval from the Hospital Development Society.Ramachandraiah found  the money collected was being shared between the RIMS director, superintendent and RMO along with two clerks. But the director and superintendent claimed that they had been depositing the money in the Hospital Development Society’s account.Through the RTI Act, Ramachandraiah sought details of the amount collected by issuing disability certificates and the hospital, in its reply, stated it had earned `59,000 so far. But Ramachandraiah alleged the amount collected was `1.17 lakh and the entire amount was not deposited.
