New Delhi: The BJP on Sunday said party President L K Advani will act on suspended leader Uma Bharti's reply to the show cause notice "in a couple of days".
In an indication that Uma will not be expelled immediately, party spokesman Prakash Javadekar said Advani will "take note of the reply and take action on it in a couple of days".
He, however, refused to confirm or deny whether the party President had received Uma's reply to the show cause notice.
Uma was suspended from the BJP and served with the notice after she vehemently objected to the central parliamentary board's decision to nominate Shivraj Singh Chauhan as Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister.
She also launched a virulent campaign against the party brass. Asked about her statements, Javadekar said "she can speak through the media, we won't."
