BANGALORE: Advocate General Ashok Haranahalli resigned on Monday following the resignation of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.Haranahalli tendered his resignation to Governor H R Bharadwaj, who in turn requested him to continue as in-charge AG until the new government is formed and a new advocate general is appointed.Ashok Haranahalli, who was appointed as additional advocate general in early 2009, was later appointed as advocate general following the resignation of the then AG Udaya Holla. During his tenure as advocate general, he has represented the government in several cases like ban on iron ore export.
