CHENNAI: Amresh Pujari, Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore, has been appointed as IG, State Intelligence, replacing P Thamaraikannan, who has been transferred back to the post he held previously as the Addl Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Greater Chennai Police. Pujari had earlier served as the Chief Immigration Officer at the Chennai airport and then went on to become the Deputy Director of Intelligence Bureau. He had also served as IG Training in the Police Training College, Ashok Nagar, before he was appointed the Coimbatore city police commissioner.Sanjay Arora has been sent back to his previous post of Addl Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Greater Chennai police. Narinder Pal Singh, ADGP, Armed Police, has been made the ADGP of Crime Branch CID. He replaced R Sekar who has been transferred and posted in the newly created post of ADGP, Railways.TK Rajendran, ADGP, Administration, Chennai has been transferred and posted as the Director, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, replacing KP Maghendran, who is posted as ADGP/Member, Tamilnadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board.T Rajendran, ADGP, Technical Services, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, SHRC, Chennai. Mithilesh Kumar Jha, ADGP/Member, Tamilnadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, will be the new ADGP, technical services.TP Sundaramurthy is the new Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore city.
