Another woman attacked by her husband

VISAKHAPATNAM: In the fifth case of attack on women in the city in six months, a man slit his wife’s throat following heated argument at Akkayyapalem area on Monday. However, the woman’s condition is stated to be stable.Y Suryanarayana, a watchman of an apartment at Akkayyapalem area, has been harassing and torturing his wife Y Satyavati, a daily wage labour, for the past few months. The couple along with their children came to the city in search of employment from Thotapalli in Vizianagaram district a few years back.On Monday, following a heated argument, an inebriated Suryanarayana beat up his wife and children. When a hurt Satyavati later decided to go to her parents’ house in Vizianagaram along with her two children, Suryanarayan slit her throat with a blade.
