No picture of Chennai is complete without an MTC bus in the frame. As a tribute to them, a unique online treasure hunt that takes participants, “around Chennai in six days” (ACID6) centers around bus routes.
As part of the Madras Week celebrations, Bambaram Toy Library and YOCee have organised the hunt, wherein teams of two can participate. Each team has to crack codes for six days to identify six different bus numbers plying on that particular route, for example M70A, L71E.
Clues vary in format —pictures, anagrams, cryptic clues, movies and activities. Participants are required to answer both the bus number and how three clues are related to it.
Santhosh of Bambaram says, “The hunt is open to children of 10 and above. We have several adults participating as well. Although we have opened the quiz for 100 teams, we have spots available. Even if a team registers on the last day and answers all the questions, they are eligible for a prize.”

On the final day, teams should send all the bus routes along with the ‘grand treasure of Chennai’. By ‘travelling’ in these buses from terminal to terminal, one will come across this treasure in all the routes. The first three teams to find the ‘grand Treasure’ win ‘Around Chennai in 6 days’. In case of tie, the team fastest to crack the clues wins.
Winners will get a ThinkTop Hunters certificate, gifts and goodies from Bambaram and YOCee.
