The minister, Ripan Bora, is being investigated for the murder of a tea trade union leader.
New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Assam Education Minister Ripan Bora and a middleman on Tuesday for allegedly offering bribe of Rs 10 lakh to a CBI Deputy Superintendent of Police in a murder case in which the minister is a suspect.
Bora was arrested in New Delhi. He is being investigated for the murder of tea trade union leader Daniel Toppo in Sonitpur district.
