A Dutch national has been arrested in Bangalore on charges of rape, cheating and intimidation based on the complaint of a woman.
The complainant is a Gurgaon resident. According to her complaint, the Dutch man had promised to marry her after they got to know each other in January this year. According to her complaint, she visited him in Bangalore.
Complaint also says he has a wife and child in Netherlands but told her that he was separated from his wife.
Police sources say she filed the complaint when the accused dumped after she got pregnant with him and asked her to abort the child.
He has been booked under sections 376(rape), 420(cheating), 506(intimidation) of IPC and section 66 of IT Act. He is currently in police custody and will be remanded to judicial custody.
The Dutch national works in an educational organisation in Bangalore.
The survivor has undergone medical test
Police will be informing the Netherlands embassy.
