HYDERABAD: In a freak accident, three customers of the Syndicate Bank suffered injuries after a private security guard’s weapon went off accidentally inside the bank premises on Saturday. According to police, the accident took place at the Syndicate Bank located at Ashok Nagar in Chikkadpally.In the accident, three customers are Sukar, Vinod and Koteswaramma were injured. Inspector S Prathap said that around 11 a.m, a double-barrel breech loading gun of a 57 year-old security guard Kamalesh Kumar misfired inside the premises.“The accident took place when the gun slipped from the security guard’s shoulder while he was coming out from the bank.The trigger was unfortunately pressed when the security guard tried to catch the gun.One bullet came out the gun and injured three customers standing in the queue,’’ police said. After receiving information, Chikkadapally police rushed to the spot and the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Chikkadapally police registered a case under section 338 (Negligence) IPC and investigation is on.
