HYDERABAD: BJP state president G Kishan Reddy has appealed to chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to take an allparty delegation to Delhi to discuss the severe drought prevailing in 17 districts of the state with the central government.
He told reporters here on Monday that the state government failed to effectively bring the drought situation to central government's notice and alleged that the ruling party MLAs did had not visited the fields till today to inspect the driedup crops. Kishan Reddy announced that his party would organise relay hunger strike at Indira Park here from December 14 to 16 to highlight weavers' problems. Party president Nitin Gadkari will participate in the agitation on December 16. The BJP would also observe statewide retail trade bandh on December 1 to protest against the Centre's decision to allow foreign direct investments in retail trade.
