New Delhi: There seems to be another setback to the government's denial of gaps in India's security structure. Weeks after Army Chief General VK Singh's revelations, a Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report has highlighted critical gaps in India's defence, only much more starkly.

What is interesting is that the report was filed in December, 2011 but it failed to rouse any reaction from Parliament's Public Accounts Committee.

The CAG report claimed that Indian artillery used obsolete technology that ranged from the second World War and those developed in the 1970s.

The report also states that an abnormal delay in procurement of new guns threatens Army preparedness and substantial cost overruns.

The Army Chief had cited similar concerns in his March 12th letter, following which many politicians had asked for his sacking.

What's your reaction?
