CBSE results: Anshuman bags 2nd Rank in E zone

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha students continued their good run at the national level with Anshuman Mohapatra of Mother’s Public School, Bhubaneswar, who topped the Science stream of CBSE Class XII examination in the State, bagging the second rank in the eastern zone. Similarly, Risha Bagchi of SAI International School, emerged as the region’s topper in the Commerce stream. Anshuman, who scored 98.8 per cent, plans to join the Indian Institute of Technology. He has secured 2,314th rank and plans to take up mechanical engineering as his stream.Meanwhile, Risha scored 95.6 per cent to top the West Bengal, Odisha and Chhattisgarh region. Mother’s Public School, on its part, performed exceedingly well with a cent percent success rate. Of the 347 students who appeared for the examination in the Science stream, 55 secured 90 per cent-plus scores. Anshuman’s 98.8 per cent was followed by Archit Panda’s 96 per cent, while Abhijit Kumar Das secured 95.6 per cent.
