Hell broke loose for people relishing snacks at a popular Kachori shop on Delhi’s Rajpur Road on Sunday afternoon after a speeding Mercedes SUV drove rammed into it, leaving six people injured.
The entire incident was captured by the surveillance cameras in the eatery. In the footage, customers can be seen buying snacks and savouring them during a busy day for the eatery staff in the beginning. Then, all the customers can be seen looking in one direction, almost panicking.

Before they can move aside or alert others, the SUV enters the shop, smashing everything in its way, and hits a wall. As people recover from the shock, they can be seen looking for their friends and family. The SUV, too, reverses from the wall.
A middle-aged man, who came to the joint with his wife can be seen helplessly looking for his partner. Moments later, his wife appears from behind and the duo can be seen with their arms around each other.
The video also shows injured people trying to find help to get out of the shop.
A case has been registered at the Civil Lines Police Station and the driver of the car, 36-year-old lawyer Parag Maini from Noida, has been arrested and the offending vehicle has been seized.
Police said according to the preliminary medical investigation, the driver was not under the influence of alcohol, however, the blood sample had been preserved for analysis.
The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital and further probe is on, police said.
