KOCHI: Finding talented young minds and grooming them as confident citizens will help in social development, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said. He was inaugurating the Capacity Exploration and Enabling Programme (CEEP), 2011, organised by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd and the NGO Nanma Movement, here on Sunday. He said the CEEP could help hundreds of children develop their skills.The programme provides a yearlong training to children for unleashing their unique potential. Parents would also be given counselling. A group of bright eight standard students from poor families were selected for the programme. Nanma launched the project in 2006. Excise Minister K Babu presided over the function. G Madhavan Nair, former ISRO chief, gave the keynote address.K P Dhanapalan MP released the newsletter published on the occasion.P Rajeev MP, V P Sajeendran MLA, Benny Behnan MLA and P Vijayan, Commissioner of Police, Thrissur spoke.
