Beijing: China on Tuesday batted for more flexibility in dealing the Iran's nuclear programme as it confirmed receiving an invitation from Tehran to visit its nuclear sites ahead of the new round of talks.
Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Hog Lei told a media briefing in Beijing on Tuesday that China has received the letter and it will be in touch with Tehran on the nuclear issue.
China will maintain its communication with Iran on the matter, Hong said.
Hong said China expects all parties to value the results of the Geneva talks and to push for constant progress in the dialogue process in the spirit of cooperation, flexibility and pragmatism.
China urges all parties to seek common ground and calls for joint efforts to settle the Iran nuclear issue, he said.
Iran has invited several ambassadors from the European Union, non-aligned nations, the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, Germany and others to visit its nuclear sites in an apparent move to dispel speculation about its nuclear weapons programme.
