Clooney took a bachelor vow on dying uncle's advice
George Clooney has revealed that he decided to remain a bachelor for life on the advice of a dying drunk uncle.

Washington: The 46 year old Hollywood heart throb George Clooney has revealed that he decided to remain a bachelor for life on the advice of a dying drunk uncle.

The Ocean's Twelve actor said that he was inspired by his uncle’s life and it inspired him to live life to its full without family responsibilities.

"I've not wanted to have kids and we all die alone. I learnt a lot about death from my uncle George. Unfortunately, he turned into a drunk,” Contactmusic quoted Clooney, as saying.

"I'll always remember him at 68 years old, sitting in bed. He looked at me and said: 'What a waste'. He didn't live up to his early promise. After that, I decided I wasn't going to wake up one day in my sixties and say: 'What a waste'. I was going to grab as much out of life as I could," he added.

Clooney, who has vowed to stay a bachelor all life, is currently dating Sarah Larson, a contestant on the popular NBC show Fear Factor.
