CM announces solatium for Sivakasi fire victims

CHENNAI: Jayalalithaa on Saturday announced a solatium of  Rs 1 lakh each to the families of eight persons who were killed in a cracker unit fire at Kalayarkurichi near Sivakasi.In a statement, the Chief Minister condoled the death of the fire accident victims and said she had instructed the district authorities to render all necessary assistance to those injured. An assistance of  Rs 15,000 will be given to severely wounded and Rs 6,000 to victims with minor injuries. The financial assistance will be given from the Chief Minister’s relief fund.
